What is an Apparel Brand Book, and why should management see it first?

The five chapters of a school Apparel Brand Book, and why reviewing the whole plan before production protects quality and budget.

An open school Apparel Brand Book showing the crest, colour palette, garments and fabric swatches

An Apparel Brand Book is the complete plan for everything a school wears, put in front of management before anything is made. It lets you see your school before VILAN dresses it.

The five chapters

  1. Identity principles. Ethos, approved colours, crest and logo rules.
  2. Wardrobe map. Every garment by grade, role and occasion.
  3. Coordinated designs. A family of looks with room for variation.
  4. Detail guide. Crest sizes, placement, trims and finishes.
  5. Rollout plan. What to sample, approve and introduce first.

Why management should see it first

  • Decisions are made on the whole picture, not garment by garment.
  • Colours, crest placement and fabrics are fixed in writing, so every order matches.
  • It is a planning document, not a commitment to buy. Ordering is a separate, written decision.

What we need from you

Your logo, colours, any brand guidelines and photographs of the uniforms you use today. The Brand Book is then built around your school's identity.
